‘Nanny’ star, Fran Drescher outs ex-husband

[HMG] – Former star of ‘The Nanny,’ Fran Drescher has never been shy about her beliefs. In 2008 she and ex-husband, Peter Marc Jacobson held a fundraiser to help block California’s ban on gay marriage.
And now she says Peter is gay.
“Peter and I met when we were 15,” she tells In Touch. “We were just kids and didn’t know who we truly were. We went through a lot together,” the 52-year old actress muses.
The pair met at during Fran’s later years at Hillcrest High School in Queens and married in 1978, when Fran was 21. They separated in 1996 and divorced three years later. There were no children.
“We feel so blessed to have met each other and to still have a caring relationship,” she says. “Love is what we’re about.”
Peter later came out of the closet to Fran and the ex-spouses are still “best of friends,” so she says.
“We’ve even fixed each other up with guys!” Fran admits. “I more successfully than him, by the way.”
In what may reveal the true motive for this sudden ‘outing,’ the pair are now working on a sitcom based on their 21-year connection. There’s no news of a pilot, or even a contract as yet, but the Hollywood types don’t pass-up free PR.
If [or when] there is more news on their show you’ll read it here….
