“The Real Housewives Of DC” Set to be Canceled?(HMG Celebrity News) – According to RadarOnline, Bravo is set to pull the plug on The Real Housewives of DC after just one season.   The Housewives franchise has been a great success for Bravo since launching in suburban California in 2006. The docu-series has spawned a total of seven different franchises – Orange County, Atlanta, New Jersey, New York, DC, Beverly Hills, and most recently, Miami.  The Washington edition which follows the lives of socialite Mary Schmidt Amons, talent agency owner Lynda Erkiletian, British import and author Catherine “Cat” Ommanney, would be the first in the network’s history to get canceled. “The show just didn’t do well and it wasn’t worth airing another season,” a source close to the situation tells Radar.

“The DC housewives were meant to be starting shooting their second season now and they haven’t heard a peep from Bravo,” the source adds. “No one from the cast has been contacted yet and told that the show is canceled.”

While the fate of DC housewives doesn’t look promising, a representative for the network tells Access Hollywood that “no decision has been made yet” regarding the future of the reality series.
