‘Boardwalk’s Paz de la Huerta arrested for alleged assault on Samantha Swetra

[HMG Celebrity News] – Those of you who admire Paz de la Huerta on HBO’s ‘Boardwalk Empire.’ probably won’t want to read this – Paz got arrested last night and is now due in court after allegedly attacking a friend with a glass.

Reports say the 26-year old New York-born actress crossed swords with Samantha Swetra [MTV's 'City'] during a party at the Standard Hotel on Washington Street in New York last Sunday. Sources say she was flirting with Sam’s male companion and Sam got defensive.

Insiders tell TMZ Sam then made some sharp comments about Paz’s inebriated condition. This upset Paz, who then reportedly threw a glass at Samantha and punched her in the face. Paz was then promptly removed by security staff while Sam’s friend helped his date remove pieces of the glass from her leg.

This is not even the first time Paz has made headlines for all the wrong reasons – Back in January she got so drunk at the Golden Globes ceremony, she was refused entry to the after-party.

And when that self-absorbed group of B-list social climbers think you’re too drunk, you’ve really got problems.

Early today, Samantha arrived at an NYPD station house with her attorney and lodged a police report about the alleged attack. Paz has since been served with a ‘Desk appearance’ ticket and is due in court on April 18th.
